F104 T-bar function and fit guidance

This RC T-bar is made for use on the Tamiya F104 chassis and is supplied as a hop-up part by 3Racing under model F104-07/18/FG. It replaces the factory unit to alter lateral stiffness across the front end, adjusting steering feel and initial turn-in without changing the suspension geometry.

As a tuning item the 1.8mm thickness raises front-end rigidity compared with thinner bars, reducing unwanted flex for a crisper steering response. Changes are generally incremental rather than radical; this T-bar is one of several small setup options used to balance front and rear grip on carpet or asphalt club circuits.

Fitting is straightforward for the RC kit user: remove the stock T-bar, mount this part in the same locations, then check clearances around the servo linkages and steering components. Because fit can vary with F104 kit versions and prior modifications, align the assembly before final tightening and bench-test at small steering throw to ensure nothing binds.
