This is an RC-scale graphite main shaft designed for the Tamiya F103RM chassis, supplied as part number F103RM-02. The graphite material gives a firmer central drive member compared with the stock plastic shaft, aimed at hobbyists who tune chassis balance and driveline feel on 1/10-scale on-road cars.
As the torsional spine of the driveline, the shaft replaces the kit main shaft and changes how the car reacts to throttle and steering inputs by reducing torsional flex between front and rear. A stiffer shaft typically reduces mid-corner roll and can sharpen handling when used alongside suspension and weight setup changes.
Fitting is straightforward for those comfortable with F103 maintenance: remove the original shaft per your kit manual, inspect bearings and spacers for wear, slide the graphite shaft into the drive stack and reassemble with the kit fasteners while keeping alignment true. After installation check driveline freeplay and spin the wheels to confirm smooth operation before you run the car.
