This machined aluminium dog bone is a direct drivetrain replacement made for the TAMIYA DT-03 chassis and is supplied as a 1pr set for 1/10-scale RC models. It replaces the standard plastic dog bones with a metal option while remaining intended solely for RC use.
Installation follows common DT-03 dog bone replacement steps: remove the wheel hub and driveshaft retainers, withdraw the original dog bone, insert the 58mm aluminium dog bone into the outdrive cups and hubs, then reassemble and verify axial play. The component matches DT-03 coupling geometry, so confirm orientation and retention clip seating before running.
From a tuning perspective, aluminium dog bones give a firmer drivetrain feel and different wear behaviour compared with plastic. Regularly inspect the joint ends, keep mating cups clean, and apply light lubrication at contact points as part of routine maintenance.
