CNC aluminium centre gearbox

This aluminium centre gearbox is a CNC-machined RC replacement designed to create a stiffer metal housing for double-shaft tractor truck drivetrains. The enclosure helps protect the internal gearset and assists in transferring heat from the gearbox into surrounding airflow, without suggesting any full-size vehicle application.

The shell is manufactured from Aluminium 6061 T6 using multi-axis CNC machining to resist wear and encourage heat fanning around the gears. The 3D machined profile increases mechanical protection for the drive train compared with the standard plastic housing.

Intended fitment is for double-shaft truck drivetrains where a central gearbox contains the drive gears; the component is offered to improve drivetrain durability and thermal handling rather than promise unspecified performance gains.

The kit includes the necessary mounting hardware to secure the casing; fit the supplied screws when replacing the factory plastic housing to retain original mounting points.
