This aftermarket rear drive shaft set is an RC-scale replacement made for the Tamiya CC02 MERCEDES-BENZ G500 platform and supplied as model CC2237RS. The components are designed to transfer torque from the gearbox to the rear wheels on scale trail and crawler rigs and are intended solely as model parts.
The shafts are manufactured from hardened steel #45 to resist bending and surface wear under typical trail loads, aiming to deliver more consistent power transfer compared with softer original parts. Hardware included follows the source kit and is provided to secure the shafts into standard CC02 rear assemblies.
Fitment and installation notes: this kit is made for direct swap into compatible CC02 rear drive arrangements, it installs where the stock rear drive shafts sit in the differential and axle assembly, and requires basic disassembly of the rear axle. Use standard hand tools, confirm orientation before final assembly, and check clearance with existing suspension and wheel hexes after fitting.
Practical tuning role: moving to hardened steel rear shafts reduces flex under increased load, which helps keep gear mesh and throttle response more consistent for scale off-road driving without altering gearbox ratios or electronics.
Includes basic kit contents as supplied: rear drive shaft - 2 pcs, 4.0 E-clips - 4 pcs.
