Anodized Aluminum Shock Towers for CC-02

This is an RC-scale front and rear shock tower designed for the Tamiya CC-02 chassis, finished in blue anodized aluminum and supplied as part number JR-CC203-LB. The component replaces the original plastic tower to deliver a firmer mounting point for the shock absorbers and help maintain suspension geometry under heavier loads or aggressive driving.

Installation uses the stock tower mounting points on the CC-02 chassis and the existing hole pattern and standard hardware. When fitting, ensure the shock top mounts align without forcing the shocks, and avoid overtightening bolts to prevent preloading the suspension. Confirm that shock shaft movement is free before final tightening.

From a tuning perspective the aluminum tower raises rigidity at the shock top, which sharpens initial suspension response and reduces flex during side loads. It is useful when experimenting with shock positions or stiffer springs and when seeking a more consistent ride height under varying track conditions. As with any upgrade, changes to shock mounting stiffness may require complementary adjustments to shock oil, spring rate, or shock mounting positions.

This part is manufactured to the Tamiya CC-02 tower pattern. If your chassis uses the same hole layout it may fit, but always verify alignment before drilling or forcing parts into place.
In most installs the stock fasteners are suitable. Check that threads fully engage and apply a small amount of thread-lock on metal-to-metal joints to prevent loosening under vibration.
Expect a firmer initial response at the shock top due to reduced flex; you may need to adjust oil weight or spring rates to restore the balance you prefer.
