One-piece stainless underbody protection

The BBX333 skid kit is an aftermarket stainless steel integrated chassis plate made for the TAMIYA BBX BB-01 platform. Formed as a continuous front, centre and rear plate, it helps stiffen the chassis and creates a durable barrier against rocks, grit and repeated contact while preserving the original mounting alignment.

Produced from high-strength stainless steel using an integrated moulding process, the 1mm plate resists bending and corrosion under prolonged use. The single-piece layout spreads impact loads across the plate instead of concentrating stress at individual chassis mounts, reducing the chance of chassis cracks.

Fitting uses the supplied Grade 12.9 black flat head screws to secure the plate at the front, centre and rear attachment points. Ensure correct seating and full thread engagement to keep the plate flush and avoid added load on existing fasteners. As an aftermarket upgrade, the skid adds stiffness and provides a consistent low-clearance contact surface for trail or rock-running setups.
