This aluminum servo stay mount is a compact upgrade part made for RC-scale Tamiya BB-01 (BBX) chassis work. It replaces the standard plastic stay with a blue anodised aluminium piece to give a firmer mounting point for the servo where hobbyists focus on setup and tuning tasks. The part is intended for model-level use only and not for any full-size vehicle application.
Installation is intended to use the BB-01’s existing servo mounting locations and hardware; confirm hole alignment with your chassis before tightening. The mount's role is mechanical: it reduces flex at the servo mounting area so steering input remains consistent during adjustment and on-track testing. When fitting, avoid over-torquing screws to prevent stripping threads in the chassis or deforming the mount.
Tuning notes: a stiffer servo attachment can make steering feel more direct and repeatable, which helps when dialling in toe, camber, or steering linkage geometry. However, changes to servo mounting stiffness should be considered alongside other setup changes such as servo saver settings, linkage geometry, and suspension tuning to keep handling balanced.
