Upgrade your Tamiya CC-01 with durable aluminium oil dampers

If you want crisper handling over rocks, roots and rough trails, the Tamiya 54541 Aluminium Oil Dampers are a direct upgrade for the CC-01 chassis. These aluminium units deliver steadier damping and more consistent feedback compared to stock parts, helping you keep control on unpredictable surfaces.

Main advantages of the Tamiya 54541 dampers

This four-damper kit includes silver anodised cylinders paired with dark titanium anodised caps to boost both durability and looks. The metal construction reduces wear and keeps damping consistent during extended runs.

Package contents

  • Damper Cylinder: 4 pieces
  • Upper & Lower Cylinder Caps: 4 pieces each
  • V Parts: 4 sets
  • Small parts required for mounting to the chassis

Fitting and care advice

When fitting these dampers, tighten fasteners to the recommended torque and check seals for leaks. Regular inspection and oil changes will maintain performance after hard use.

These dampers are tuned for the CC-01 geometry. Some components may fit other models, but full compatibility is not guaranteed without modification.
Light to medium shock oil (around 20-30wt) is a good starting point for trail use. Adjust up or down to control rebound and body roll to suit your driving style.
Inspect seals and oil after every few outings, more often if you run in muddy or sandy conditions. Rebuild and refresh oil as needed to prevent wear and maintain consistent damping.
