Fitting Notes

When fitting the Tamiya 54061 Double Slipper Clutch Set, check that each plate and spacer sits square and that bolts are tightened to a sensible torque. Proper alignment and correct spring preload will deliver smoother acceleration and more consistent corner exits.

This set is built for DB-01 fitment. Some aftermarket one-way pulleys or hubs may clash with the spacer stack or shaft dimensions, so confirm compatibility before combining parts.
Inspect the slipper pads after a few runs and then regularly if you race often. Replace pads if they show glazing or uneven wear to keep clutch performance consistent.
Start with a light spring preload and test on your typical surface. Increase preload in small steps until wheelspin is minimised without making acceleration feel jerky.
