The Tamiya 53937 LED Light Control Unit TLU-02 is built to give electric RC touring cars a convincing set of light effects. The unit can manage up to 16 sets (32 individual lights) of compatible Tamiya LEDs when used with two TLU-01 modules, creating more life-like night and day running scenes. Setup is familiar to anyone used to ESC installation, so both experienced tuners and newer hobbyists can get it running quickly.

Available Lighting Modes

The TLU-02 includes multiple effects to mimic on-road vehicle signals and behaviour:

• Headlights and Fog Lamps: Selectable main beams, position lights and fog lamp output to suit different driving conditions.
• Brake and Reverse Lights: Lights respond to transmitter inputs to simulate braking and backing up.
• Hazard and Passing Signals: Automatic hazard activation plus passing light patterns for realistic motion.
• Throttle Flash: Lights flash on acceleration to emphasise sudden throttle input.
• Siren-Style and Indicator Outputs: Create attention-grabbing siren patterns and conventional blinker control.
• Directional and Alternating Flashes: Choose steady one-way flashing or alternating back-and-forth sequences.

Note: The TLU-02 requires a suitable transmitter, battery, at least one TLU-01 unit, and LED lights, which are sold separately.
