The British Crusader cruiser tank was developed in the late 1930s with an emphasis on mobility rather than heavy armor. It saw its first major action in North Africa during Operation Battleaxe in 1941, where its speed stood out even though its gun and protection were lighter than some adversaries. The Crusader served on the front lines until newer designs took over its role.
The Tamiya 1/48 scale kit allows modellers to assemble either the Mk.I or Mk.II with parts that reflect their turret and machine gun differences. A die-cast chassis gives the finished model added heft and realism. The assembly-style tracks are designed to show realistic sag when built, and the kit includes markings for three different vehicles to personalise your build.
