The Japanese Light Cruiser Kinu served in multiple roles during World War II, from escort duties to reconnaissance and torpedo attacks. This 1/700 kit reproduces that versatile ship in scale, giving modellers a chance to build a faithful miniature of a notable naval vessel.
The kit reflects the Kinu as completed in 1922, with its long narrow hull, three stacked funnels and distinctive box-style bridge reproduced in miniature. Key armament such as the 14cm guns and the twin 61cm torpedo launchers are represented to keep the model historically accurate for display or diorama use.
Designed for careful assembly, the kit includes detailed external parts and metal pieces to aid flotation for waterline presentations. Builders receive waterslide decals and clear pictorial instructions to guide construction and finishing for an accurate end result.
