This 1/12 scale assembly kit reproduces the 2009 Yamaha YZR-M1 as a static display model, with a focus on external accuracy and exposed internal components for viewing after build.
The 2009 Yamaha YZR-M1 campaigned by the Fiat Yamaha Team enjoyed a very strong season, with riders regularly taking podium finishes and several race victories. The 2009 machine was updated from the previous year to suit revised tyre requirements and included development work on weight distribution, fuel efficiency and engine characteristics.
The kit contains clear parts to show internal areas and finely detailed exterior components. Removable side cowlings let builders display the internal assemblies once assembled, and vinyl tubing is supplied to represent brake and clutch lines. Cartograf water-slide decals and Bridgestone tyre markings are included for precise surface detail. Separately sold detail-up items are available for fork upgrades and a rider figure.
