This is a 1/12 scale assembly model kit that captures the 2005 Yamaha YZR-M1 U.S. Inter-coloring edition, designed to replicate the season's race livery and visible chassis detail.
The production YZR-M1 served as Yamaha's flagship four-stroke racing motorcycle in the mid-2000s, developed for top-level grand prix competition. The U.S. Inter-coloring scheme reflects Yamaha International Corporation branding and was applied to a special-edition YZR-M1 at the 2005 U.S. Grand Prix.
The kit recreates the 2005 YZR-M1 appearance and selected mechanical details. Three new molds represent the in-line four-cylinder engine, main frame, and rear shock unit, along with the cowling shapes specific to that year. Side and seat cowlings can be removed after assembly to reveal internal components. Tires are realistic synthetic rubber finished with Michelin logos. A decal sheet reproduces the yellow and black inter-coloring markings and the kit includes vinyl tubing for brake and throttle hoses. The markings supplied correspond to bike No.5 ridden by Colin Edwards in the U.S. edition.
A faithful representation of the 2005 YZR-M1 U.S. Inter-coloring edition, this kit supplies dedicated molds and decals for display-focused builds and reference-based assembly.
