This 1/12 scale assembly kit reproduces the Ducati Desmosedici in plastic, crafted for display with close attention to the V4 engine layout and truss-frame appearance.
The Desmosedici machines were developed by Ducati as a compact V4 derived from two 90 degree L-twin banks sharing a common crankcase. Introduced in 2003, the package pairs a 16-valve V4 with a tubular steel truss-frame and an engine-mounted swingarm pivot. Early campaigns featured riders such as Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss, with notable results at circuits including Suzuka and Catalunya during 2003.
Kit detail emphasizes external accuracy and mechanical appearance. The truss-frame and V4 arrangement are represented by injection-molded components, and the rear suspension mounting mirrors the engine-attached swingarm layout. Throttle, clutch and brake control lines are simulated with plastic tubing, and the tires are synthetic rubber fashioned to racing slick profiles. Side and seat cowlings are removable after assembly to reveal the engine area. Cartograf decals supply two race liveries for No.65 and No.12. Specific white sponsor marking decals are omitted by request.
A kit targeted at modelers and collectors who value faithful external engineering and displayable engine detail at 1/12 scale.
