This 1/12 plastic model kit represents the 2004 Yamaha YZR-M1 race motorcycle, produced as an accurate scale replica for precise assembly and display.
The Yamaha YZR-M1 served as a leading four-stroke race machine in the early 2000s, designed around a compact inline four-cylinder engine and optimized chassis geometry for high-speed road competition. In 2004 the design was refined for the larger-displacement formula, and factory riders campaigned the platform with consistent results throughout the season. The bodywork in this scale model reflects the aerodynamic, narrow-profile styling used at the time.
Presented separately from the real machine, the kit reproduces the YZR-M1's engine configuration, exhaust routing, ram air intake and suspension layout at scale. The box contains an alternate seat cowl to show two rider setups, and synthetic rubber tires that simulate slick race rubber. Poly caps are included for suspension joints and cowl attachment, and several panels can be removed after assembly to reveal the engine bay and drivetrain areas.
High-quality waterslide decals are supplied for the two rider numbers noted, and the molded cowling captures the streamlined profile of the 2004 models. Assembly requires painting and basic modelling tools; careful decal application and finishing will determine the final display result.
A finely detailed 1/12 replica aimed at builders who prioritise engine accuracy and display realism, with alternate bodywork and realistic tyres for finished presentation.
