Soft Front Tires Built for the Tamiya F104 Family

Made for the Tamiya F104, F104X1 and F104 Version II chassis, these soft compound rubber tyres are cut to fit the standard F104 foam wheel. They work with item 54400 (F104 Metal Plated Wheels) and 51378 (F104 Spare Wheels Set) and give noticeably improved steering on both asphalt and carpet surfaces.

Mounting Notes and Handling Advice

The Tamiya 1031 F1 Soft Front Tires deliver enhanced grip to sharpen turn-in and front-end feel. For best results insert the supplied foam carefully so it lies flat with no lumps. Drill a 2mm hole in each wheel to let trapped air escape and create the necessary air gap. Fit the tyre from the outside face, make sure the sidewalls sit true, then apply CA glue around the bead. Let the glue cure fully before running for a secure bond.
