This SS graphite rear shock tower is built for the SSG conversion used in drift packages and functions as an upgraded replacement rear tower. It provides the mounting points for the rear shock absorbers and increases structural stiffness of the rear subframe in RC drift chassis setups.
Fitting is part of the SSG conversion process and normally replaces the stock rear tower included with the conversion kit. As a graphite piece it keeps weight low while adding stiffness, and it fastens into the chassis using the conversion kit's original mounting layout. Check alignment and clearances during fitment to maintain the intended suspension geometry.
From a tuning perspective, raising rear tower stiffness changes suspension response under lateral loads, helping stabilise shock positioning and influencing body roll and traction transitions when drifting. Install this part when you need repeatable rear mounting locations and a predictable increase in rear-end stiffness for RC drift applications.
