This Yokomo YOKB7-14525 spring is a direct accessory option for SLF Short II users who want a colour-coded 1.4 x 20.5L x 5.25T spring. It is supplied as an RC-scale coil intended for fine-tuning the short-stroke suspension arrangement used in SLF Short II style setups.

In practical tuning, this spring alters rebound feel and roll resistance without changing shock bodies. Replacement is straightforward on SLF Short II shocks: remove the shock cap, slide the original spring off the shaft and fit the new spring, ensuring it seats correctly against the retainer. Standard shock servicing tools are sufficient.

Use the pink spring for incremental setup adjustments: swap springs to influence transient response, pair with different shock oils and preload settings to refine turn-in and mid-corner balance, and verify secure seating after a test run.
