This RC-scale aluminium spur gear adapter combined with a 56T steel spur gear is made for compatibility with select AXIAL drivetrains. The unit replaces the factory spur and adapter to change gear material and interface while retaining the original gearbox housings.
The set includes the necessary small hardware and a collar to secure the adapter to common pinions and spur assemblies. Installation requires opening the model gearbox and basic hand tools; set pinion mesh and clearance precisely before running. This item is intended for model drivetrain tuning and repair, not for real vehicle use.
Supplied items are: 3x6 stainless steel button head screws (3 pcs), 4mm stainless steel lock nut (1 pc), Pellerin collars (1 pc), steel post (1 pc), plus the aluminium adapter and the 56T steel spur gear.
Use this adapter and steel spur when replacing worn teeth or when you prefer the wear characteristics of steel; inspect mesh and run a short break-in at low load before full use.
