This rear shock stay is CNC-machined from 3mm black FRP and serves as an optional top mount for Tomahawk-style Scorpion-series chassis. The plate gives a rigid, repeatable mounting point for the top of rear shocks and is aimed at RC buggy builders who need consistent shock geometry for setup and tuning.

Fitment requires pairing the stay with the SCW040 Adjustable Shocks to reach the intended mounting configuration; the stay is explicitly not compatible with the SCW013 HG Shock Set. The part ships as a single machined FRP plate with pre-drilled mounting holes and alignment points; installers commonly reuse the standard shock hardware and mounting screws supplied with the original kit for attachment.

From a tuning perspective, replacing the stock shock top mount with a machined FRP stay increases top mount rigidity and alters the relationship between shock piston movement and chassis motion. Builders fit this component to stabilise top mount alignment and preserve repeatable shock positions while testing different springs and damping settings.
