Installing the rear upper body mount on the Mi10

This Factory Pro produced part is an aftermarket rear upper body mount made for the Schumacher Mi10 chassis, supplied as Factory Pro O-SCP049. It uses graphite 3.0 to give a firmer upper body attachment point for consistent mounting and repeatable adjustments during race day preparation.

The mount acts as the upper rear anchor that secures the body shell to the Mi10 rear posts. Built from graphite 3.0, the component increases rigidity compared with standard plastic mounts while keeping mass low so handling balance and response remain predictable on club tracks.

Installation notes

  • Remove the body shell and expose the Mi10 rear mounting area following normal service steps.
  • Position the graphite mount over the existing rear body posts, aligning the mounting holes with the chassis fastener locations.
  • Use the chassis' original fasteners to secure the part, checking the body sits level and wing and suspension clearances are preserved.
  • Operate full suspension travel to confirm there is no unwanted contact between the mount and moving components.

Tuning role

  • The stiffer graphite upper mount changes how the body transmits load to the rear suspension, producing subtle shifts in rear grip and driver feedback rather than radical handling changes.
  • Fit this mount when comparing different body flex settings or when you want more consistent body placement between heats.
  • Pair body-mount changes with adjustments to ride height and shock settings to find a balanced setup for your circuit.
It is manufactured for the Schumacher Mi10 and designed to align with the rear body post pattern; verify hole alignment before final tightening.
Installation normally uses the chassis' existing fasteners; have the original screws to hand and check fit first.
After fitting, move the suspension through full travel to ensure the mount does not contact the wing or suspension parts.
