This is a replacement shaft for the Scorpion S-2212 series outrunner motor, specified as a 3mm shaft intended as a service part for RC-scale motors. It serves as a direct spare to restore axial alignment where the original shaft shows wear or damage, and is intended for use in model aircraft, multirotors and other small electric platforms that use S-2212 class outrunner motors.
Compatibility is limited to S-2212 series motors and comparable small outrunner designs; verify physical fit and bearing sizes before fitting. The part is supplied as a bare shaft component to be integrated with the motor rotor, bearings and prop adapter already on the motor assembly.
Installation is a motor-level service task: remove the motor endbell and rotor assembly, extract the worn shaft, fit the replacement ensuring bearings seat correctly, then reassemble and verify axial play and rotational freedom. Take care during reassembly to keep the prop adapter and any set-screws aligned to prevent eccentric loading.
In tuning and maintenance the shaft plays a role in concentricity and vibration control; a straight, undamaged shaft reduces runout at the prop or pinion gear and supports consistent bearing wear patterns. After replacement, check balance and listen for bearing noise during a low-speed spin to confirm correct seating and alignment.
