RP Ultra Silicone Oil - Grade 45 Clear

The Yokomo RP-113450 RP Ultra Shock Oil #45 (Clear) is an R/C-scale silicone shock oil designed for tuning damper response in silicone-equipped shocks and dampers. The RP Ultra series has been refined with finer viscosity steps at key points plus a simple color-coding system to make grade selection faster during setup changes.

Viscosity #45 (clear) offers a middle-ground damping characteristic that helps balance rebound and compression. In practice, moving to a lighter or heavier grade within the RP Ultra line alters chassis roll and weight transfer; make small adjustments and test on the same track to judge effects.

When servicing shocks, fully drain the old fluid, rinse internal parts if required, and refill slowly to reduce air inclusion. Cycle the shock shaft after filling to purge trapped air and top up to the correct level. Use a clean syringe or dedicated dispenser for silicone oils to prevent cross-contamination of grades.
