DP-YD2 Rear Diffuser Overview

This is an RC-scale rear diffuser produced for the DP-YD2 platform, supplied as a wide and narrow option set that lets builders adjust rear-end behaviour on scale drift and touring car setups. It is intended to fit the DP-YD2 body and mounting locations and is not for full-size vehicle use.

As a tuning component, the wide profile expands the diffuser outline so it interacts with rear body airflow differently than the narrow profile; changing between them helps balance rear traction, yaw response, and body clearance for different track surfaces.

Installation uses the DP-YD2 rear body mounts and follows standard RC assembly practice; verify body alignment and wheel-to-body clearance after changing diffuser width to avoid contact during suspension travel. Apply moderate thread-lock to metal fasteners where appropriate for secure long-term fitment.

Keep both parts handy as a simple setup kit for incremental rear behaviour changes while testing the DP-YD2 chassis.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It is designed for DP-YD2 layouts; check your chassis designation and the pattern of the rear body mounts before attempting fitment to ensure compatibility.
The wide profile increases the diffuser footprint and alters rear airflow to generally raise traction and stability, while the narrow profile reduces outline for extra clearance and slightly different yaw characteristics.
No special tools are required beyond common hex drivers and basic RC tools; the diffuser attaches to existing DP-YD2 rear mounts with standard hardware.
Run controlled test laps, compare rear traction and turn-in response between profiles, and make small adjustments rather than large setup jumps to isolate effects.
