Arrowmax am-210040 Silicone Shock Fluid comes in a 110ml bottle at a nominal 500cst viscosity and is formulated for use in model car and buggy shock absorbers. It is supplied as a clean silicone oil intended for routine shock maintenance and tuning; it is not suitable for full-scale vehicle use.
The fluid is used solely for damping and tuning: varying viscosities alter compression and rebound behavior inside threaded or cartridge-style shocks fitted to electric and nitro RC cars and buggies. A 500cst grade generally delivers a balanced damping response, helping hobbyists achieve steadier rebound control without creating excessively harsh compression.
Basic service is straightforward for anyone used to shock rebuilds: drain the old oil, inspect piston, rod and seal condition, then refill to the recommended level for your shock assembly. Carry out work on a clean bench, use correct shock caps and rods, and seat pistons correctly to avoid trapped air. Dispose of used oil following local regulations.
When tuning, change one variable at a time—oil grade, piston size, or spring rate—so you can isolate effects on roll, pitch and traction. Keep temperature and runtime consistent when testing so damping changes are easier to evaluate.
