Role in setup: changing diff viscosity is a primary tuning tool. Higher viscosity increases internal damping and biasing, creating a firmer, more locked feel, while lower viscosity allows freer differential action and quicker transient response. Trial different viscosities to balance traction, turn-in and corner exit on both on-road and off-road cars.
