Sealing O-ring 6x1 for model car use

The Serpent SER110317 O-ring 6x1 is supplied as a compact pack of ten rings intended for servicing small-scale RC car assemblies and routine repairs. Supplied in a 10 pcs set, the rings act as spare seals for any small assemblies sized for a 6x1 O-ring and work well on Serpent kits as well as general RC car components.

In service these O-rings commonly perform three roles: they seal fluids or grease inside gearboxes and differentials, serve as thin spacers or preload shims between small moving parts, and provide minor vibration damping for delicate components. The 6x1 designation identifies the cross section and diameter family and should match the groove or shaft where the ring will sit.

Fitting is simple when done carefully: inspect the groove and mating surfaces for burrs, remove old grease and debris, apply a light film of a compatible grease to ease seating, stretch the ring only as required and avoid twisting it as you position it, then confirm the ring sits evenly in its groove. Replace any rings that show flattening, nicks, hardening or cracking rather than reusing them in critical sealing positions.

For storage and handling, keep the rings away from strong solvents and long exposure to sunlight, store in a cool dry place, and use older stock first. Keep a pack in your pit kit for quick swaps during maintenance stops.
