Long rear shock cylinder for R12 dampers

This long rear shock cylinder suits R12-design rear shock assemblies on 1/12 scale RC cars. It offers a longer cylinder body that alters available travel and increases internal oil volume compared with standard-length cylinders, and is intended for use when tuning the suspension or replacing worn damper components.

Compatibility is limited to R12-configured rear dampers as indicated by the product designation. When fitting this cylinder, confirm piston, seal and shaft clearance match the existing rear damper stack, and inspect O-rings for proper seating to avoid leaks. Use appropriate shock oil and piston combinations for the target damping response rather than changing settings arbitrarily.

Setup notes: the extended cylinder body increases oil capacity and can change travel characteristics, which helps when adjusting rear damping balance, rebound behavior and chassis attitude during track setup or practice sessions. Make incremental changes and document results so they can be repeated.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It replaces the rear shock cylinder inside R12 rear dampers when a longer cylinder body is needed to increase travel or adjust suspension geometry.
Check that your current pistons, O-rings and shaft clearances match the new cylinder length. You may need matching O-rings or pistons, but no specialist tools beyond standard shock service tools are normally required.
Start with small changes to oil weight and piston selection because the increased internal volume affects damping. Record each change so you can compare handling and return to known baselines if needed.
