This turbo-design glow plug P5 HOT is an R/C-scale engine ignition component intended for nitro model engines. The P5 designation denotes a hotter heat-range filament compared with lower-numbered plugs, which changes the filament temperature behavior and thus affects ignition response in small model engines.
In practical terms it assists with cold starting and holding a stable idle in engines that run better with a higher-heat element. When tuning, fitment of a hotter or cooler plug is one way to adjust combustion characteristics alongside needle and carb settings; the plug only alters filament thermal behavior and does not change air or fuel flow directly.
Installation notes: use only with engines that accept this plug thread size, employ a correct glow-plug wrench, and avoid over-torquing to protect threads. Make sure the plug seats evenly and the combustion chamber is free of debris. After fitting, confirm starting and idle before making further needle adjustments.
Safety and handling: intended for model use only. The filament area becomes very hot during operation; allow the engine to cool before handling and follow safe practices for nitro fuel.
