Replacement kingpins for rough-terrain suspension

The Yokomo ZM-414 Kingpin Set is an RC-scale replacement kit supplied as a 4-piece set intended for off-road suspension maintenance. This overview covers practical use, fit tips, and how these kingpins keep a buggy or short-course truck's suspension operating correctly.

Designed as service parts, these kingpins replace worn pivot points in the suspension assembly. They return correct steering geometry and suspension articulation when original pins develop play, and are intended for routine workshop maintenance rather than a performance mod.

Installation is straightforward for hobbyists familiar with hub disassembly: remove the wheel and hub carrier, extract the worn pin, fit the replacement ZM-414 kingpin, and verify free rotation of the hub and correct shims or spacers. Check thread engagement and any retention clips or pins required by your hub design.

From a tuning perspective, replacing worn kingpins removes unwanted slop that can mask suspension setup changes. After replacing the kingpins, re-check toe, camber, and steering free play so the chassis responds consistently on track or trail.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The ZM-414 is a general replacement set; confirm the pin length, diameter, and how your hub is retained before fitting to avoid mismatch.
Basic hand tools suffice: wheel wrench for removal, plus small pliers or punches to extract and install the pins safely.
Check for axial or radial play at the hub and any visible scoring; if movement is present replace the kingpins during your next service interval.
