This Yokomo YOKRP-083G front spring is an RC-scale coil spring made for off-road front suspension units. The green color makes it easy to identify spring rate when you run multiple sets, and it serves as a direct replacement or a tuning option for front shock absorber springs on off-road RC rigs.

Installation follows the usual oil-shock routine: remove the shock cap and top retainer, swap the spring while keeping the original preload and spacing, then reassemble and confirm travel and end-stops. Keep seals and shock oil clean as part of standard shock maintenance when changing springs.

In setup work, springs establish baseline suspension stiffness and initial response. A firmer spring increases roll resistance and initial ride height, while a softer spring delivers more compliance over rough ground.
