Short-body aluminium shock kit for tighter tracks

The XRAY 338002-K aluminium shock absorber set comes as two 20.8mm short-body units designed for the NT1 series 1/10 on-road RC chassis. Shorter bodies and matching shorter shafts stabilise suspension movement across braking and cornering, helping to produce more consistent travel for improved corner speed and more precise steering reaction.

Included are precision-moulded pistons in both 2-hole and 3-hole designs across three bore sizes: 1.0mm, 1.1mm and 1.2mm. The white Delrin pistons retain roundness and stiffness to keep damping consistent run after run without changing major components.

Shock bodies are CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and receive surface hardening to extend service life. External fine threads on the bodies let you make small ride-height and preload changes quickly, and the low-profile membranes provide smooth, repeatable damping across a variety of grip levels.

Specifications

  • Item Aluminium shock absorber set, short-body, 20.8mm, 2 pcs
  • Material Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium bodies, Delrin pistons
  • Model Number 338002-K
  • Compatibility Intended for NT1 series 1/10 on-road RC chassis
  • Piston options 2-hole and 3-hole pistons in 1.0, 1.1, 1.2mm

Choose this set when you need shorter shock travel with stable damping; mix piston bore and oil viscosity to tune mid-corner grip and exit behaviour.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are made for NT1 series geometry, but you should confirm your car's required shock length and mounting hardware; compare shaft travel and eye-to-eye measurements before fitting.
Measure eye-to-eye distance with suspension at ride height and check stroke. Because these are 20.8mm short-body units, verify clearance at full compression and droop on your NT1 variant.
Basic shock tools and a small spanner for the threaded collars are sufficient; the fine threads allow precise adjustments without specialised equipment.
Low-profile membranes are used on these shocks; check that any external boots or caps clear the shorter body and mounting points before fitting.
Replacement pistons and membranes are available from XRAY spare parts listings; match the bore size and hole count when ordering to maintain your tuned damping characteristics.
