Aerosol Finish for Nakajima Green

This Mr.Hobby GSI-S15 Mr. Color spray is an aerosol paint formulated to reproduce the IJN green seen on Nakajima subjects, intended for scale RC model finishing and detailing rather than real-world applications.

Surface preparation is key: remove dust, oils, and any loose flash before spraying. For plastic RC parts, test the spray on a spare sprue or an inconspicuous area to check adhesion and colour match. Mask areas you want to protect with modelling tape and paper to control overspray.

Application guidance: shake the can vigorously to mix pigments, apply several light passes instead of one heavy coat, and allow adequate flash-off between passes to prevent runs. Keep the can at a consistent distance and move steadily for an even laydown. Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area and follow local safety guidance for aerosol paints.

Tuning and finishing tips: where scale accuracy matters, use a primer compatible with the model's plastic before the base spray, then apply panel-line washes or matt/satin clear coats after the green has fully cured to achieve the intended sheen. Always test compatibility with any aftermarket weathering products on a scrap piece first.
