This Arrowmax AM-MTX4-T0724 16T pinion is built for use with Mugen MTX-5 compatible drivetrains and is CNC machined from 7075 hard aluminum. It is intended as an aftermarket gear to adjust final drive ratio and balance acceleration versus top speed in model car setups, and it is not a full-size vehicle component.

In setup work the pinion directly defines the final gear ratio and must mesh cleanly with the spur gear and gearbox parts. When installing, inspect both gear faces for burrs, set even tooth contact across the width, and check that motor bearings and shaft alignment have no axial play. Correct mesh and alignment reduce premature wear and keep throttle response consistent.

For tuning, change the pinion tooth count to achieve the desired acceleration or top speed, then test engagement under load to ensure stability. This is an RC-scale replacement pinion intended for the existing mounting arrangement of the compatible chassis; adapters or extra hardware are not implied.
