Installation and fit for MR-4TC hubs

This Yokomo YOKSD414KB king pin ball stud is an R/C-scale replacement part designed for MR-4TC SD and BD chassis models. It serves as the ball end used in king pin fittings within the front steering assembly, providing a direct swap when the original stud shows wear or when a geometry change is needed for setup.

Fitting is straightforward for those familiar with 1/10 touring car front hubs: remove the hub or king pin retaining hardware, exchange the worn stud for the new unit, and check for free articulation of the steering linkage without binding. Ensure correct thread engagement and secure retaining hardware without over-tightening to avoid stripping small threads.

When used for setup work, this ball stud can change steering feel and roll center depending on its position and ball size. Make small adjustments and test on-track to judge handling differences. Routine inspection and light lubrication of the ball/socket interface will help maintain consistent steering feedback and extend service life.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The part is specified for MR-4TC SD and BD compatibility; actual fit depends on the hub variant on your car, so compare the stud thread and ball dimensions to your existing part before installing.
Standard small tools for 1/10 touring cars are all that is required: hex drivers for hub bolts and pliers for any retaining clips. Remove the hub assembly or king pin fastener, swap the stud, then reassemble following the original torque practice.
After installation, move the steering through its range and observe for smooth movement. If binding occurs, recheck thread depth and any washers or spacers, and confirm the stud is seated correctly.
