The Kyosho MINI-Z RWD MR-04 readyset arrives factory assembled on the MR-04 two-wheel-drive chassis and finished with a display-quality McLaren P1 GTR shell. It is aimed at hobbyists and collectors who want a compact, tunable small-scale electric R/C that also looks great on a shelf or table.

The McLaren P1 GTR body represents the track-focused variant of the P1 supercar, developed for closed-course demonstration and events rather than road use. This limited, non-road-legal configuration emphasizes aerodynamic downforce and circuit-oriented design compared with the road car.

As shipped, the readyset includes a fully assembled MR-04 chassis, a painted and decal-applied McLaren P1 GTR body, and a Syncro KT-531P 2.4GHz transmitter. The MR-04 builds on MR-03 refinements with a lower center of gravity, redesigned front knuckles with integrated kingpins to reduce scrub, and matched bearing sizes front and rear to cut rotational drag. A geared differential smooths cornering, while the rear pod uses a T-bar suspension plate with a coil spring damper; owners can fit an optional oil-filled shock separately. Power comes from a 130-class brushed motor in the standard readyset, and operation requires AAA batteries for both chassis and transmitter. The platform accepts a wide range of MINI-Z optional parts for performance upgrades and can take an optional gyro for steadier control. Note that the separately sold LED light unit MZW429R will not fit the McLaren P1 GTR body supplied with this readyset.
