Overview of the MINI-Z MR-04 RWD Readyset

This Kyosho readyset arrives as a fully assembled MINI-Z package based on the MR-04 RWD chassis, intended for indoor electric RC driving and stepwise tuning. The model is finished for display and is ready to run once batteries are fitted.

The MR-04 chassis lowers the centre of gravity and updates steering geometry versus the previous MR-03, giving a more linear steering feel and reduced resistance through revised knuckles and 3 mm inner-diameter ball bearings. A geared differential and ball bearing fitment on main axles help reduce drivetrain drag and produce predictable cornering.

The package is aimed at MINI-Z racer body compatibility; the included pre-painted JAGUAR XJR-14 No.4 LM 1991 body is mounted ready to use. Note that the separately sold LED light unit set MZW429R cannot be fitted to this Jaguar body. An optional gyro MZW711 can be added to refine steering stability and its sensitivity adjusted via the chassis volume control.

To get running, install 4 x AAA alkaline cells into the car and fit 4 x AAA alkaline or Ni-MH cells to the Syncro KT-531P transmitter, set trims and dual-rate steering as needed, and the car will operate in a reduced-speed training mode by default. The MR-04 chassis supports a wide range of MINI-Z optional parts for tuning, such as alternative pinions, shock options, and chassis upgrade components to tailor handling.
