Mini-Z MB-010 Short Setting Springs

The Kyosho MBW012S Setting Spring Set (Short) is a short-length spring kit made for Mini-Z MB-010 style shocks, supplied in multiple colour-coded rates so builders can fine-tune handling without swapping shock bodies.

This set follows the common Mini-Z short spring profile and offers a progressive range of stiffness via colour codes: Purple (super soft), Green (soft), Silver (medium), Gold (hard). The kit commonly ships with the super soft spring preinstalled.

Installation is simple: remove the shock cap and spring retainer, slide the chosen short spring onto the shock shaft, then reassemble. Because short springs affect static ride height and initial preload compared with full-length springs, recheck rebound and droop after changing springs.

For on-track tuning, start with the softer colours to add traction on low-grip sections and move to firmer colours to reduce body roll on faster parts of the circuit. Make single-step changes and run consistent laps to assess how each rate alters balance.

As an OEM Kyosho spare, MBW012S is intended for Mini-Z scale suspension adjustments and is a model-only component for hobby and track use.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Remove the shock cap and spring retainer, fit the selected short spring over the shaft, then replace the retainer and cap. Verify the spring seats correctly before reinstalling the shock.
Colours map to progressive stiffness: Purple = super soft, Green = soft, Silver = medium, Gold = hard. Use this sequence to step through handling changes.
Yes. Short springs normally alter static ride height and initial preload, so you should adjust droop and rebound settings after swapping.
The MBW012S is sold as a setting spring set including multiple colour-coded short springs for tuning.
Make incremental changes, record lap times on the same surface, and change one wheel or corner at a time to isolate the effect of each rate.
Yes, MBW012S is a Kyosho OEM spare listed for Mini-Z series maintenance and tuning.
