This aftermarket steering plate is an aluminium upgrade made for Kyosho Mini-Z AWD platforms, supplied as 1pcs. The +0.2mm thickness shifts steering geometry subtly to improve alignment precision and give more predictable steering response during setup and tuning. The part is intended for 1:28 scale RC Mini-Z AWD builds and works with your existing steering linkages without replacing servos or major components.
Fitting is straightforward for anyone used to Mini-Z strip-down: remove the factory plate, test-fit the alloy plate to the steering knuckle and servo horn, then secure with the original hardware. Only basic hex drivers are normally required. Check clearance and steering throw before running to avoid binding. The stiffer aluminium plate cuts flex seen with many stock plastic plates, so steering inputs feel steadier whether you are on short course layouts or tight on-road circuits.
From a tuning standpoint the extra +0.2mm acts like a thin shim in the steering stack, which can change toe and ackermann when combined with alternate knuckles or link lengths; use it as a fine adjustment when you want tighter steering precision without altering tie-rod lengths or replacing knuckles.
