Mini-Z AWD front toe tuning link

This is an RC scale front toe in/out linkage made for Kyosho Mini-Z AWD models, sold as AWD-10/2. It supplies a fixed 2 degree toe baseline that racers can use to dial in tighter turn-in or a straighter exit on compact electric Mini-Z circuits.

The component is tuned for setup work: altering front toe changes initial steering response, mid corner bite, and how the car moves through corner phases. Use the linkage to lock a repeatable toe while testing tyre compounds, suspension tweaks, or ballast moves on MR-03 AWD based cars.

Fitting is simple on compatible Mini-Z AWD front hubs and steering knuckles. Typical steps are to remove the original linkage, fit the AWD-10/2, and confirm full, free steering sweep. Inspect the ball ends for binding and make sure the rod does not contact nearby suspension parts or the body when the wheels are turned.

Tuning notes: a touch of front toe-in usually calms turn entry and reduces twitchiness at higher corner speeds, whereas toe-out can sharpen initial turn-in but may cost straight-line stability. Change only one variable at a time and record lap times and handling observations for clear comparison. This linkage offers a fixed 2 degree reference for controlled setup comparisons.

Measure the distance between ball ends on your current linkage and compare to the replacement; the linkage is designed for Mini-Z AWD hubs but verify clearance on your specific knuckle before final fitment.
No specialist tools are needed; basic Mini-Z screwdrivers and a set of small pliers or ballcup drivers are usually enough. Ensure screws are secure and ball ends swivel freely after fitting.
Make one change at a time, run consistent laps on the same surface, and log steering feel, corner entry stability, and exit behaviour to evaluate the effect of the fixed 2 degree toe reference.
