Titanium-coated shaft for aluminum suspension mounts

This Kyosho MBW020 suspension shaft is an RC-scale replacement part made for aluminum suspension mounts, providing smoother pivot action with its titanium-coated surface.

Function: the titanium finish lowers surface friction between the shaft and the mount bore, allowing suspension parts to move with less stiction and more consistent return during compression and rebound.

Compatibility & fit: intended for use with aluminum suspension mounts; check dimensional compatibility with your chassis before fitting, as the shaft is supplied as the spare part for Mini-Z style assemblies.

Installation & tuning role: remove the original shaft and install this unit into the aluminum mount following standard suspension arm disassembly, then confirm free movement and tweak shock preload or damping to suit the reduced friction; the upgrade targets smoother operation and improved repeatability rather than changing spring rates or intrinsic damping.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Measure the bore and overall shaft length on your mount and compare to the spare part dimensions; the MBW020 is made for Mini-Z style aluminium mounts but you should confirm size before installation.
The coating reduces friction at the pivot, improving smoothness, but shock feel is still set by oil and springs, so you may only need minor damping or preload adjustments.
Regularly clean the mount bore and apply light lubrication to prevent debris buildup and wear on the coated surface, preserving low-friction movement.
