38mm aluminum damper made for MINI-Z 4X4

The MZJ338 is an aluminum 6061-T6, 38mm shock designed for KYOSHO 1/18 MINI-Z 4X4 scale cars. It installs in either the front or rear damper locations on MINI-Z 4X4 Suzuki Jimny variants to help control suspension movement and improve vehicle balance under driving loads.

The damper uses a top spring retainer to vary spring preload and overall feel. A silver spring is supplied that matches the original MINI-Z wire diameter, and a black spare spring is included for alternate rates or replacement. Changing preload alters effective spring stiffness while keeping suspension geometry unchanged.

Installation follows standard MINI-Z shock replacement: remove the stock damper, install the ball ends and mount at the original attachment points, then set preload with the top retainer. This is an aftermarket hop-up intended for hobby-scale tuning rather than real vehicle service.
