17mm ringless M4WD-31/RE race roller for Mini 4WD

This 17mm ringless aluminium ball race roller is supplied as a spare for Mini 4WD models. The component is intended for performance-oriented 4WD racing chassis and is offered as a direct replacement for standard rollers. The ringless inner layout reduces contact points inside the roller compared with ringed variants; experienced tuners will recognise how that affects fitment and rolling behaviour on tuned setups.

Compatibility notes: the roller fits common Mini 4WD roller mounts and axles used on racing chassis. It is not a complete upgrade kit; installers should confirm axle diameter and spacer requirements before fitting. Use with Wild Mini 4WD or Scale Mini 4WD series is not recommended, and this guidance applies to performance chassis such as MA, MS, AR, FM-A, VS and Super-II where applicable.

Finish and handling: the part is anodized red and machined from aluminium. Hobbyists should avoid overtightening roller screws and check for lateral play after initial runs. Routine cleaning and inspection for burrs will preserve rolling consistency and reduce chassis wear.

Fit depends on your shaft and spacer stack; the roller is made for standard Mini 4WD shafts but confirm the internal bore and spacer thickness before installation to avoid play or binding.
Without an internal ring there are fewer surfaces to wear; focus maintenance on axle seating and bearing cleanliness, and check bearings for smooth spin rather than ring wear.
It is intended for performance 4WD chassis types, but confirm clearance on specific MA and MS variants before a competitive run to ensure no interference.
Many single spare rollers ship without extra washers or spacers; check the supplier listing and be prepared to reuse existing hardware or order compatible spacers if needed.
Rotate the assembly slowly to check for wobble, confirm axial clearance and ensure there is no metal-on-plastic contact during normal chassis flex.
Anodize is a surface finish and does not alter lubrication needs; use a light, model-appropriate lubricant and avoid heavy greases that attract dust.
