TA-02 aluminum main drive shaft assembly

The JR-TA200-DB main drive shaft is an aluminum replacement made for the Tamiya TA-02 scale chassis, supplied as a set with the articulating joint and finished in dark blue anodize. It serves as a metal option where TA-02 geometry matches the original shaft, helping to address wear and reduce flex found in stock components.

Installation replaces the stock main drive shaft assembly and requires a post-fit check of alignment and drivetrain engagement. Because the joint allows articulation between suspension movement and gearbox output, verify smooth rotation and sufficient clearance through full suspension travel before operating the model.

As a tuning hop-up this shaft increases driveline stiffness and durability, which can reduce play and help maintain consistent gear engagement during practice or race sessions. It is a direct upgrade for TA-02 owners who want a stronger metal shaft without changing gearbox or final drive geometry.

Propeller shaft is the best alternative to the Tamiya ones which are extremely hard to find. Fits the TA-02 gearbox perfectly but you need to cut off the shaft guide molded to the stock upper deck of the 01/02 chassis to ensure smooth operation.
The component is intended for TA-02 chassis layouts; actual fit depends on matching the original shaft geometry and mounting points. Compare your chassis layout and dimensions before purchasing to confirm compatibility.
The package contains the main drive shaft and the articulated joint, finished in dark blue anodize as specified in the product listing.
Fitting an aluminum shaft typically raises drivetrain stiffness and durability, producing more consistent power delivery. It does not directly alter suspension geometry or steering response, though driveline behaviour may feel firmer.
