Machined aluminum steering mount for Promoto-MX

This aluminum steering holder is an RC-scale replacement part for the Team Losi Promoto-MX motorcycle chassis, supplied as model JR-LMX05-PU. It replaces the stock plastic steering mount to deliver a more rigid, wear-resistant interface between the steering assembly and the front fork on dirt bike Promoto-MX setups.

Made for Promoto-MX motorcycles, the part is a simple hop-up for pilots wanting a metal mounting point in place of the factory plastic piece. It helps maintain alignment under repeated steering inputs and when fine-tuning steering throw or centring during setup sessions.

Installation is direct and uses the same screw points as the original holder. Remove the stock steering mount, align the aluminum piece with the steering shaft and fork tabs, fit the existing hex screws and verify free rotation of the steering link and servo horn. Minimal trimming or extra hardware is usually required on supplied Promoto-MX chassis.

For setup checks, confirm steering centring after fitting, ensure there is no binding through full lock, and retorque hardware after a short run-in. The component is intended for RC dirt bike use only and does not alter electrical parts such as the servo, ESC, or motor.

The holder is anodized aluminum designed to be more wear resistant and stiffer than the original plastic mount, improving mounting stability on Promoto-MX frames.
No extra hardware is normally necessary; use the same hex screws removed from the stock holder and follow the alignment steps outlined in the description.
The part provides a firmer mount but does not change servo specifications. After installation, check steering geometry and clearances to confirm no unintended contact or binding.
