Promoto-MX Front Hub Hex Overview

This RC-scale front wheel hub hex is designed for Team Losi Promoto-MX motorcycle models and corresponds to the JR-LMX02-GR designation. The part replaces the original front hub hex with a metal mounting interface intended for repeated removal, fit adjustment, and routine maintenance on model dirt bikes.

The hub hex functions as the mounting interface between the wheel assembly and the axle, indexing the wheel with the existing wheel nut or hex screw. As a machined aluminum piece, it provides a firmer hub-to-wheel connection than molded plastic, helping to keep alignment stable during setup and use without implying real vehicle application.

Installation is straightforward for hobbyists familiar with scale motorcycle maintenance: remove the front wheel, swap the stock hex for the aluminium unit, and secure using the original fastener. After assembly check wheel runout and confirm the hex seats squarely against the wheel face; use the correct hex driver and avoid overtightening to protect threads in the wheel hub.

From a tuning perspective this is a simple hop-up: a stiffer mounting point can reduce play at the wheel interface and make suspension and steering adjustments more consistent when fine tuning handling on the Promoto-MX chassis. It is intended as a service and replacement item for scale dirt bike setups rather than a standalone performance modifier.

This item replaces the front wheel hub hex found on Team Losi Promoto-MX scale motorcycles, swapping the plastic or standard hub hex for an aluminium mounting interface for the wheel.
No special tools are required beyond a suitable hex driver to remove and reinstall the wheel screw and basic hand tools for wheel removal and refit.
Keep the wheel screw threads clean, inspect the hex for wear, and verify the seating against the wheel face after reassembly; use thread locker sparingly only if needed to retain the screw.
