Purpose and fit for the motor mount

The Kyosho LA426 Motor Mount Set is an RC-scale motor mounting component made specifically to fit the LAZER ZX7.5 chassis. It locates the motor relative to the chassis and sets the pinion to spur relationship without changing other drivetrain parts.

Intended role: keep motor alignment consistent, permit repeatable gear mesh adjustments, and provide a stable platform for routine setup and servicing. This description concentrates on fit and function rather than material claims.

Installation and setup notes

  • Remove the old mount and check motor endbell clearance before fitting the LA426.
  • Place the motor so the pinion engages the spur gear with minimal lateral play, then tighten mounting screws evenly to avoid twisting the motor plate.
  • Use the correct torque on hex screws to prevent stripping threads and recheck gear mesh after the first run-in.
  • Confirm motor leads and ESC routing to keep them clear of the mount and maintain cooling clearance.

The LA426 mount is intended for chassis maintenance and tuning workflows; small changes to setback or tilt can change gear wear and drivetrain noise, so make incremental adjustments and bench-test before track use.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
This part is specified for the LAZER ZX7.5 platform; variations in chassis revisions or aftermarket components may affect fit, so verify mounting points before installation.
Use the correctly sized hex driver for the mount screws, a stable bench for alignment, and feeler checks to set gear mesh. Avoid over-torquing to protect threads.
Motor setback and tilt affect gear engagement, efficiency, and noise. Use the mount for fine tuning gear mesh rather than as a substitute for gearing changes, and evaluate adjustments on the bench first.
