Tomahawk 85WC - adjustable shocks

This Kyosho SCW040 adjust shock set is a pair of ride-height adjustable shocks supplied in red, intended as an RC-scale spare for the Tomahawk 85WC. The units use a dial-type mechanism that provides stepless (infinitely variable) adjustment of ride height, allowing precise position changes without discrete index steps.

Fitting to the Tomahawk 85WC follows standard shock-replacement practice for 1/10-scale cars: remove the original shocks, attach the lower and upper mounts to the chassis and suspension arms, and secure with the original fasteners. The set contains 2 pcs, matched to the Tomahawk 85WC shock mounting geometry.

When used with SCW038 or SCW039 these shocks can be fitted as an option to Scorpion-series chassis, using the conversion parts noted for that installation. Use the dial to set the static ride height, then re-check suspension travel and wheel clearance before running.

How does the dial-type stepless adjustment behave?

The dial lets you change ride height smoothly across a continuous range, so small adjustments are possible without swapping shims or indexed spacers. Turn the dial until the desired static height is reached, then verify travel.

Can I replace the stock shocks on a Tomahawk 85WC with these?

Yes. These are intended as direct spares for the Tomahawk 85WC and install using the standard shock mounting points and original hardware.

Are extra parts required for fitting to a Scorpion-series chassis?

To fit these on a Scorpion-series chassis you will need SCW038 or SCW039 conversion parts as noted. Follow the conversion instructions to ensure correct alignment and mounting.
